What a scam. I parked my rental at 3rd & Laurel in Baton Rouge and used the QR code for parking as instructed. I also have the Metropolis app. I booked 30 minutes and went shopping.

Cons: My vehicle was booted at approximately 9:45 p.m. on May 28 in my apartment parking lot. I spoke with a collections representative from the large sticker put on my window who stated the boot was applied because a parking permit was not visible in my window. I have emailed picture proof that I did in fact have my parking permit on my mirror. I have lived in this complex for 7 years and they like to drive through like a thief in the night (between 9:30 to after midnight)and target multiple vehicles at once and since it’s after hours you can’t get anyone from the company on the phone. If you can’t get the money overnight to pay to get it off, you can’t get to work the next morning. This seems predatory. This is also not the first time this towing company has falsely booted my vehicle. The last time, they said I was parked over the line and no permit in the window. After showing them that their claims were false, they removed the boot without charging me. I am hoping this will be resolved soon and the same way. I have called the company and left a message (no one has returned my calls) and also emailed to dispute the charges. $156 from a 4 person household, one of which is disabled, barely making it on one person’s income, to have their only vehicle booted is atrocious. I respectively request a refund so I don’t have to decide whether I have to skip groceries or life saving medications this month. Pros: it is somewhat convenient that if you can acquire the money, you can immediately take the boot off yourself instead of waiting for them to drive all the way from Livingston Parish to do it. BUT the caveat is that you have to return the boot to one of their drop-off locations within 24 hrs or get fined $75 a day. 0/10- would not recommend

I am currently parked behind the Hilton downtown. I parked here last night and have receipt and proof of purchase of parking valid until tonight. I came out over an hour ago to find my truck booted. I have called, emailed and called repeatedly for over an hour and still no response. I brought my grandchildren to enjoy a couple of days in BR, this one is half over and all we have done so far is SIT IN THE TRUCK waiting on American Coachworks to do their job….

UPDATE: This is in response to that incredibly condescending and unnecessary response. Which proves you’re wrong.

I am a truck driver. I parked in an empty lot to go and see where I deliver my load to. I am in 53ft trailer. I walked next door to see how to get in and when I came back 15 minutes later I had a boot on my truck. I told the woman I am trying to make a delivery and that did not matter. If I was sleeping there I would understand, but I am trying to work!!!!

I went to the City Heights apartment complex in Denham Springs to visit my grandchildren and my pregnant daughter. Which, of course I have done several times before. There are no post signs about any booting nor have I seen anyone else Booted. Imagine my surprise when I come out and my car has two boots on it the gentleman was still present. I feel like I was kidnapped and robbed. This should not be legal. Shame on this company for taking advantage of poor people.
